AG World Champion!!!

All done!

I just got back from drinking a beer on the beach! I am so stoked right now. I can't even get into it right now. A lot more in the coming days... but here are my results and a couple of photos.

1st 30-34 AG (World Champ!)
2nd Amateur Overall
1st American Amateur
22nd Overall

Thanks to everybody for all the emails, texts, blog comments, and facebook things... It seriously means a lot.... time to celebrate. I can' wait to get home and really celebrate with my 'lil monster, Beth. She has been the one who has to put up with over the last year with my crazy training and lifestyle. I can't thank her enough!

That was HUGE. Super exciting watching you finish on the webcast and hearing the announcer call out "JAMES WALSH from Carlsbad CA".

By the way, was that you slowing down to talk to Conrad on the run? It was a helo shot so it was hard to tell.

Hopefully, the header pic will get updated w/a shot of you on the podium. Congrats, and enjoy!

Way to go James. You came, you saw, you conquered! Can't wait to read your race report.

Although the streaming video was technically better this year, the coverage was lacking, but they did manage to get you crossing the finish line.

Congrats. Your hard work paid off.

Awesome job out there...it was brutally hot (and I was just sitting in the shade drinking beer). It occurred to me after I got to maui w/o a computer or anything that I had no way to tell you to find us on the hill under the tree with a big cooler of beer after you finished. Glad you found some.

Well done James. You've come a long ways since I met you at XTERRA West, a few years ago.

Next year, go back and get that one last spot. It's the bulletin board material you need to get you thru next year's training.
